b. 1970 new york state, lives and works in estonia.
Sound-video artist + project coordinator at MoKS
As a mixed-media artist, I’ve worked primarily with field recording sound composition, performance and installation since the early 1990s with a focus on site-specific and acoustic sound activity. This has resulted in performances and projects made throughout Europe, Japan and the US. My compositions and recordings have been published on CD by a number of internationally recognized labels.
Currently I am a project and media lab coordinator for MoKS -Center for art and Social Practice, an international artist residency center and project space in southeast Estonia. MoKS was founded in 2000 as a cooperative organization of people dedicated to artistic, social and environmental research in rural Estonia.
In the spring of 2006, I edited, wrote and designed the "Sound Art Special", a 32 page guest section for KUNST.EE magazine. In October 2004 MoKS hosted "Pushing the Medium", an international symposium for experimental sound and video artists.http://maaheli.ee
